He just didn't understand. Elisa said that society was changing, but some aspects still lingered, perhaps never to be fully eradicated; males in positions of authority, females subservient to their mates, males going out to hunt, females always remaining behind to care for the young.
He imagined the reactions of his Rookery-sisters if someone had told them they could not lead the Clan because they were female, or that it was their sole responsibility to care for the hatchlings even after they were no longer dependant on their mothers for milk, and winced.

It’s drabbletastic!
I’ve realised what’s been killing my inspo – trying to get the prompts to fit with my Gargoyles theme. Some of them have been perfect, others… well, they just don’t work. So here’s me, officially quitting the prompts. I’ll keep trying to do challenges though, and you’ll have to tell me if you think these promptless fics come out better, or worse.
Also, Dragon Age still owns my soul.
Look at me still gaming when there's writing to do,
